Religious Education Classes Grades 1-6

Light of Faith Religious Education is a co-parish ministry of religious education for Holy Family and St. Paul's Parishes of Danville.

Family Formation is for grades 1-6.

Confirmation Prep for Grades 7 & 8 will be announced in the fall. 

Classes meet once per month with parents and children attending at the same time. Classes are held separately for adults and children. Children meet in their grade level classroom with their teacher while parents learn the theme of the classes for the coming month and receive the home lessons. Parents are then responsible for teaching these lessons during the remainder of the month to their child(ren).

Your time commitment away from home for class is limited to the first Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Holy Family Church. The beauty of this program is that it can fit into your individual family’s schedule. The at home lesson time, regardless of family size, will be about an hour per week. 

The first class is Wednesday, October 4, 2023. The Wednesday classes are for BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDREN.

Fee per family is $60.

R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process through which adult men and women come to approach the Catholic Church for the first time and respond to God’s call to faith. The RCIA process culminates with entry into the church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist during the Easter Vigil. RCIA is also available for Catholics (high school or adult) who wish to complete their initiation into the Church with Confirmation.
